Spiritual Health

Spiritual health and care

Coping with physical or mental illness is one of the greatest challenges in life. Being spiritually healthy helps people meet that challenge.

See Spiritual Health Locations for facilities with Spiritual Health programs.

Spiritual Health Practitioners support staff, patients and their families of all beliefs, cultural backgrounds, values, traditions and practices.

NUMA is the quarterly newsletter produced by Island Health’s Spiritual Health program.

Sometimes people are unable to find meaning or connect with their faith when they or someone they love is sick or injured.

Spiritual Health professionals are members of the care team and are trained to provide comprehensive spiritual health care and emotional support to patients, families and health care staff.

Island Health Spiritual Health welcomes the contribution of community faith groups whose representatives provide spiritual care to their members.
